Golden Jubilee of Independent Bangladesh  is an annual plan announced by the Government of Bangladesh to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence from Pakistan through a nine-month armed liberation war from March 26, 1971 to December 16, 2021. announced Along with this, Mujib Year will also be celebrated on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

In the 2008 parliamentary elections, the Awami League declared "Vision 2021" in view of the golden jubilee of independence in 2021, where it was promised to make Bangladesh a developing, digital and modern state by 2021. Heads of state from various countries are scheduled to attend the celebrations throughout the year. The Golden Jubilee event is scheduled to be celebrated in continuation of the Mujib year.
